About the Book
Becoming Earth is a creation story, a myth about the birth of a beautiful Earth Goddess. In this story, a young girl is on her journey of discovery into the depths of Mother Earth where she experiences transformation from disconnection and suffering to falling in love with Earth, herself and life, and feeling an interconnection with all of life.
This story belongs to every one of us. It is both an individual and a Cosmic story. This is not just a myth of evolution, it is an evolving form of consciousness that is happening now. Each character in the story is alive and brings its own aspect of consciousness with its wisdom and guidance. Becoming Earth chronicles a year-long painting and writing journey. Painting and writing were parallel paths, one informing the other. The painting illustrates the story, and the story is the voice of the painting. Throughout the story there are Nature practices offered that will assist you on your own path of transformation. Together we bring into being the New Earth.

About the Author
Shiila Safer is a passionate tree lover and spends her free time sitting with her beloved tree teachers and friends. She is an avid gardener, and is co-chair of her local community garden. She is a bestselling author and a Creativity in Nature Coach. Shiila assists with reducing anxiety and tension, and accessing your joy and creativity by re-aligning with the natural world. She is the creatress of Eco & Indigo Fiber Arts (EcoIndigoArt.com), collaborating with Mother Earth herself to create eco-printed and plant-dyed beauty on silk. She offers workshops in eco-printing and natural dyeing.
